New 'AI Bank Teller' with Shinhan Bank

AI bank teller that understands and responds to customer queries and requests through a digital desk

DeepBrain AI, a leading generative artificial intelligence (AI) company in South Korea, announced on the 12th that it has introduced a new version of the 'AI Bank Teller' in collaboration with Shinhan Bank, which naturally represents actual employees.

The newly implemented AI bank teller by DeepBrain AI utilizes deep learning-based AI Human technology, which integrates speech synthesis and video synthesis, to enable real-time conversations with users. To enhance the quality of customer interactions, the model has been changed from a virtual model to actual employees working at Shinhan Bank, achieving a more realistic experience akin to conversing with a real person.

The AI bank tellers are modeled after five Shinhan Bank employees, including those recognized as 'Good Service Excellent Employees.' They were filmed in a dedicated AI Human studio to achieve high-quality virtual humans with realistic appearances and mouth movements. Additionally, various gestures corresponding to conversation topics, such as greetings and smiling, have been incorporated to enhance the liveliness of interactions.

The AI bank tellers appear in two forms: standing and seated at a table. DeepBrain AI has utilized generative AI technology to create customer-friendly voice tones.

The newly introduced AI bank tellers can be found at 'Digital Desks' and 'Smart Kiosks' deployed in Shinhan Bank branches nationwide. At the digital desks, they can handle 64 different consultation tasks, including ▲new deposits/savings/housing subscriptions ▲credit loan applications ▲execution of deposit-backed loans. They are also integrated with the Shinhan SOL Bank app to resume interrupted transfers or reserve the issuance of loan certificates. At the smart kiosks, they provide guidance on over 70 different tasks.

In addition, DeepBrain AI plans to strengthen its cooperation with Shinhan Bank to implement various innovative services combining finance and digital technology, thereby supporting 'AI normalization' to enhance operational efficiency. As part of this, they will provide the AI Human Maker platform, which enables the creation of virtual human content for various purposes, including marketing and employee training.
