Samsung Securities Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Samsung Group, stands as a leading financial investment company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The company is renowned for its expertise in a diverse portfolio of investment services — ranging from stock brokerage and asset management to corporate finance and proprietary trading. With a strong market presence and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends, Samsung Securities exemplifies its mission to enrich the lives of clients and grow together with them.
Samsung Securities has been actively working on strengthening its social media and digital presence by regularly posting videos of its top analysts sharing market insights and retail investment advice. However, as the company prepared to scale content production and share videos daily, the production team encountered several challenges.
One of the main challenges was the time-consuming filming process, which placed a considerable burden on the analysts and diverted their attention away from their primary responsibilities. Substituting an analyst with an actor, however, could compromise the impact and credibility of the reports, potentially affecting Samsung Securities' brand reputation. Additionally, long filming and editing timelines, along with delays, further hindered the delivery of accurate and time-sensitive information.
Furthermore, the production of video content proved to be costly and resource-intensive. Preparing analysts to be camera-ready and maintaining a fully staffed production team daily required a significant amount of resources and financial investment, further highlighting the need for a more efficient video creation workflow.
DeepBrain AI worked with Samsung Securities to develop custom AI avatars for use in AI Studios, the company's patented AI video generator. Samsung Securities requested two custom avatars modeled after Jang Hyo-sun, the head of the Global Stock Team, and Jeong Myeong-ji, the head of the Investment Information Team.
Using the latest generation of GPU computing resources available on AWS, DeepBrain AI can synthesize AI avatars using only 3-4 hours of video and voice recordings of Jeong Myeong-ji and Jang Hyo-sun. The avatars closely replicate both individuals' appearance, movements, and speech, with a 96.5% similarity.
Once the custom AI analysts had been trained, Samsung Security users regularly accessed the avatars within their AI Studios accounts to generate videos from just text. AI Jang and AI Jeong appear in the video, presenting as if they were recorded live, complete with their natural speaking style and voices.
DeepBrain AI relies on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power its cloud-based infrastructure and efficiently handle high-volume workloads. The company utilizes Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) to support its AWS computing services, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), which enables scalable growth of Kubernetes clusters for avatar and video synthesis, as well as web-scale cloud computing. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) then provides secure and resizable compute capacity in the cloud, while Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) ensures streamlined and efficient data storage and retrieval. DeepBrain AI's integration with AWS demonstrates its dedication to rapidly scaling its infrastructure to meet demands and drive innovation.
The introduction of the AI Analysts and AI Video Generator provided numerous benefits to Samsung Securities, notably:
Since the reveal of the AI analysts on April 18th, 2022, 445+ YouTube videos featuring the custom AI avatars have been uploaded daily, gaining an average of 31k views and surpassing past videos on the channel made using traditional filming methods. This collaboration highlights the transformative potential of AI avatar technology across industries and emphasizes the importance of innovating content production workflows in today's increasingly digitized world.
Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, DeepBrain AI has received numerous accolades including the CES 2022 and 2023 Innovatio,Awards for its proprietary technologies, AI Video Generator (AI Studios) and Conversational AI Avatar (AI Human) platforms.
DeepBrain AI strives to bridge the gap between digital interactions and human engagement, utilizing real-time AI and video synthesis solutions to create the most realistic AI avatars. The company has made a substantial impact in various industries, including media, finance, commerce, hospitality, and education.
